The Utterly Rollicking Road

There is only one reason we are here
and that is to determine where
we want to spend our next life.
It's either with Jesus in Paradise,
or dead and forgotten forever.

We are probably only one of trillions
of planets in the universe,
but the only one where
the problem of sin will be settled
once and for all.

Some suffer more than others
because some need more suffering
to shape their characters for eternity.

Some seem to have everything
they need in this life,
but its an illusion.
because what they really need
is not in this life.

There is no way
to make this world better.
Evil men and seducers shall wax
worse and worse,
deceiving and being deceived
until Jesus comes.

I am not too thrilled with myself,
but since Jesus loves me so much,
I guess I must have some worth,
in fact the Scriptures tell us that just one soul
is worth more than the entire planet.

The only way I can be changed for the better
is to be totally surrendered to Jesus,
and then let Him do the work in me
that must be done before I can inherit eternity.

We all need to be changed drastically.
Jesus will make those changes in us,
but we must do our part
which is to trust Him completely.
Therefore divine power combined
with human effort will equal success.

I try to be encouraging and share Jesus
whenever the opportunity presents itself.
I always carry books in my backpack
to give away to people I meet on the street.

Author notes

All one has to do is watch the news,
and you will see quite readily
that we cannot go on the way we are much longer.

I was going to try this, but it looked awfully difficult. You seem to have managed it quite well. Excellent piece and hope you do well in the contest. RC
