I dont know what happened to us

I dont know what happened to us
or why you have turned away.
Of course you are free to do as you like
but first I have something to say.

To me it had seemed we could go on forever
so close were our hearts, and at ease.
So much did we share, yet the words never faltered
So i thought as time did as it pleased.

Whatever I did that has made you unhappy
or am that is not your taste.
Or would return to your graces
or wont be if I am replaced.

I want you to know that your friendship is something
I tresaure, and would not now end.
If you would be willing to embrace me
you'd find in me still a good friend,

Author notes

This is a poem that I wrote for my best friend Sarah when I had messed up the best friendship I would ever have. We had stopped talking for about 6 months, and omg I missed her so much. Come to find out that after I gave her this poem along with another one, she wanted to write me back. My friend came up to tell me to go talk to her first. I thought about it at first, but then  I did, Now here we are again and good friends. Of course things arent the same, but it will be okay. Life changes. She said one day we will get back to where we were... At least we dont fight anymore, we used to do that all the time. I love you Sarah!

This is a good friendship poem. It makes a lot of sense and I also like that you wrote a lot in the author's comment space to explain it a little bit more... I like the background that you used for this poem and I like how you wrote the poem over all it is good and keep on writing. I hope that you go and check out some of my poems and tell me what you think....
