The One

You try so hard to hide your pain,
But deep inside I see it there.
I know you as well as my own name,
I see it inside of your stare.
You always keep me just out of reach,
When all I want is to be let inside.
I don’t want to be like a leach,
 Or suck your life dry.
You wear mistrust like a gilded glove,
Anger being your naturally held shield.
All I want is to feel your undying love,
And for all for your scars to be healed.
I know I can’t take away all your pain,
All I can do is help you through.
I will hope one day you feel the same,
For I believe our love is true.
Our love can survive through any storm,
And we will rise to see the sun.
In its rays we will stay warm,
And you will know I am the one.

B-E-A-U-T-F-U-L. I happen to know a couple of people of girls who hide their true feelings because they don't want to be heart broken. Therefore they protect their feelings.

    Great write!!! I loved it.
