On a humid summer's evening,
when starlight fades in swift clouds.
Moon glow's pale opulence gleaming,
envelopes hidden in a clouded shroud.
Swirling wisp of stagnant hot winds,
scatter leaf and refuse down the street.
Distant thunder rumbles and deepens
brilliant flashes of lightning in drumbeats.
Misty sheets fly in waves of moist wonder,
across tree top bows in effervescent delight.
As cascading diamond raindrops plunder,
parched dry ground in a murky haze twilight.
I get lost in a peaceful revelry transfixed,
gazing at a rippled vision of Summer's rain.
A misty dream overtakes me in sodden eclipse,
in a divine symphony pouring in a soft refrain.

This was wonderful. I enjoyed this most of your poems I have read thus far. Your rich descritions painted a scene I felt a part of from beginning to end ~ I was quite transfixed in this divine little picture of the creations Heavon on earth.
A summer rainstorm ~ Beautiful and refreshing
Peace and love, Tara
