Confusion controls my brain
One hand still holds a piece of my heart
But a new hand begins pulling at strings like a child testing a marionette
Two images wage war in my head
One face still makes my heart skip a beat
But a new face makes a smile engulf my face and a giggle escape my lips
The past has passed but is not forgotten
The future looms with new possibilities
But the present leaves me lost and afraid
Afraid to hold onto the past at the expense of the future
Do I let the new face take over my mind?
Should I try to recover the lost piece or dance to the pulls?

Author notes
Ahh the confusion! Matt and I broke up just over a month ago, I miss him. However, I'm starting to have feelings I don't all together hate for someone new. As for the poem itself, not sure I like all the phrasing, any ideas to fix are more than welcome. Luv~Megan
ps. problem solved.

The funny thing is, this isn't about Cody at all. It's about Matt and Borzou. The Borzou thing kinda snuck up on me recently. Love you, Megan
