I open my pretty little book
And to my surprise
Inside of a cave
Are some yellow, glowing eyes
Dancing with unicorns
Singing with dwarfs
All in my book
With a man that morphs
And all in my book
The adventures go on
Flying with dragons
That have brains and have brawn
Swim in a swamp
Soar with glee
Star-gaze with centaurs
Just you and me

So wonderfully done. A very enchanting piece that takes me to a fantasy world. Thank you for entering and good luck! Eris

I wish I could morph...hmmmm now what would I become???
This is a delightful fantasy, with a great metaphor of the book, being the mind and its wonderful imaginations, Great job!

Splendid. You explain with great depth that ship which we call a book. Your words have taken me to paradises far beyond the scope of my greatest dream and fantasy. Dwarves, dragons, unicorns, such lovely creatures of the human dream.
Very insightful poem, and you manage to feel in with the emotion of love blended within each verse.
There is just one particular verse that I do not exactly comprehend. What does the line "with a man that morphs" mean?
Nevertheless it is indeed a good poem. Good luck in the contest.
