Unconditional Love

I'm just a mere mortal
Created by Your hand,
To succeed, but oft to fail
Like any common man.

Daily, I drown in sin
And am covered up in shame,
But I'm cleansed by Your blood,
Redeemed by Your Holy Name.

Jesus, Jesus,
So sweet the words I speak,
You reside within my heart
Giving me faith when I am weak.

You're the Alpha and Omega,
My Savior and my Friend,
Without You in my life, my Lord,
Hell would be my end.

But through Your selfless sacrifice
And resurrection from Your grave,
I came to know You and to love You,
For You my soul have saved.

No matter how oft I fail
I can thank God above,
For I'm covered by the Blood,
Saved by unconditional love.

Author notes

I do not thank God nearly enough for the sacrifice of his Son so that the world could be saved.  I'm a Christian, reborn under His glorious grace, and I know that no matter how often I mess up, He will always be there to love me and care for me, even when men fail.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that who so ever should believe in Him shall not perish, but have Everlasting Life.  For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." -John 3:16-17

May God bless you beyond measure, as he has me.

This is a beautiful testamonial. Your write read with such ease and grace, a winner for sure. If I were to write about esus this would surely be the way I'd portray him. God bless.
