See the world changing my friend,
the metamorphosis-
not from cucoon to butterfly
but from the shell to scorching sunlight.
Eyes squirmed, body defensive,
I wait for my destiny...
From the protective abode,
been thrown out amongst rampant feet,
I squeak and scream
not to get annihilated
by the monstrous forces,
time, life, circumstances...
Muffled screams, outstretched hands,
cries for mercy, to monsters, to God.
The despair that i fight everyday
hoping against hope
to be delivered from this grind,
by God or Death or Love...
The anguish, the pain
of salt being rubbed into my wounds
by those, whom i cannot fight.
Experiences which i do not want.
They drowning me, my monsters,
my loved ones, my supposed saviour...
My saviour has got up from his crucifix
not to deliver, but to put me in his place,
He does not see- I am no God.
My life, my destiny, should be different from his
You tell him this, convince him so,
leave me human, let me make a human bow...

I’m sure you must be feeling lighter after venting out your angst… your words have touched me deeply… we shouldn’t forget that the life is a cocktail of misery and happiness… we should take each day as it comes and shouldn’t ruminate on the previous day… very well penned…

This is not what I think of when considering metamorphosis. This reminds me a little more of birth, no transformation. However, I did like the poem and could feel your pain and emotion as I read it. Good job and I hope lighten up for you.

A surprising presentation
Your poem is deeply introspective and sounds tortured. Life can be much easier than this, and I hope your poem is just that...an excellent writing produced to give the reader something to think about. This seems to be a message of frustration. Right? I especially like the "squeek and scream" idea because it portrays helplessness and we all feel that way, sometimes! Good job!
