The day is long, the night longer
My soul needs rest, it feels somber
Love has escaped me, it will never again be in my grasp
Suicide tonight, I'm taking my last breath
Don't cry for me, I brought this on myself
I chose you to marry, there is nothing left
Close your eyes to me, as you've closed your heart
Enjoy life, make a new start
Please don't remember me for how I left, but for how I began
My hearts protruding now, jumping out of my skin
The shotgun will end it fast, this pain can no longer last
Don't cry for me, I've shed my last tear
Goodbye my love, goodbye
