fragile in morning repose
dewdrops reflect weathered, teary sorrow
bruised, yet ever beauteous... summer's final rose.

I love the rose... it is a beautiful picture,,, I couldn't read the poem, but the rose was perfection, so the poem must have been wonderful. Dee

I don't know how I missed this one!! My goodness me woman!
Roses maybe prickly but they certainly are beautiful and are full of rich but sweet colours to suit anybody's mood The 3 lines you wrote were just beautiful, like the rose Glad to see you're writing a bit again

Thankies Merry. You got it. I have another picture of the same type of rose that is gorgeous too, and it has no petals slightly browning like this one-- yet this is my fave.

Nicely pictured, sweetheart! Somehow, it seems to me that imperfection does not detract from beauty. I like the connotations I am reading in this. Good luck!

Thank you so much RRRose. Suits you the name Isn't the picture just gorgeous? A friend went on a garden trip and snapped a few and sent them to me. I treasure them as the next best thing to being there! Yeah I am chronically ill Linda so I have been busy with ill-related junk. Thanks for missing me

You know, I always thought roses were ordinary-- you see them everywhere. Then I went to a state that had tulips instead of roses, and found I missed them. Then again a'adore les fleurs he he. Thanks my friend

Tis hard to be romantic and passionate in three short lines. Even harder to capture the feeling of romance and a rose's sweet blossom at the same time. You have done a wonderful job at both. Thanks. Love, Tom B.

So pretty, but I personally am looking forward to the first rose of spring!!!!
Roses are hearty flowers, they bloom long and do not give up easily, many people could learn from these last blossoms, there is no need to let go when three is still more to come!
