No one can stand against the Flame

No one can stand against the Flame

For it consumes all in its path,
It burns and spreads,
Till it touches the heart.

One can touch the flame,
Can feel the heat,
Burn the flesh.

But cannot grasp the heart,
For it hides,
Deep far beyond the reach,
Of the hand.

To touch the heart is beyond,
The flesh and blood.

Only the soul has ever touched the flame,
Has reached and grasped the tail.

Has felt the warmth,
Has cleaned the spirit,
Has touched the Heart.

No one can stand against the flame,
That is the love of another Heart.

    Has felt the warmth,
    Has cleaned the spirit,
    Has touched the Heart.

This is definitely my favorite stanza, repeats of the word 'has' help this get a point across.

I enjoyed the poem, but I had a question on why you chose to capitalize Flame and Heart at times and then not at others. Overall a nice piece.

You have made an excellent stab at the very difficult ethereal subject ofthe soul and heart beyond the physical. I appreciate your sharing

parts of it make me stop and think a bit. at the beginning it makes me think of hell and then at the end it makes me think of love. so it pretty much can have different meanings depending on the person. but it does have a cool flow. nice job!

Somewhat of a romantic poem which I liked a lot Keep writing, I love the depth of your poetry and this was no exception I like the image of the fire, no offence but it seems more female than love being an 'invasion' yet no less powerful and somewhat dark, almost as though love is a 'captivating' force which, in physical and emotional terms, encloses the beloved within it. Or that could just be my mind A very powerful poem which I loved reading, you have a definite style and that really came across here
    All the best
