When I think of you, my darling,
I sense you're by my side.
Free now, from all earthly pain,
but your spirit never died.
Your spirit's in the rush of spring;
In the warmth of April's glow.
I see you in bright autumn's gold
and in coldest winter snow.
My heart and soul feel lighter
When I think of happier days,
Strolling in the summer sun,
How I recall your loving ways.
But though I miss you deeply,
as each new season comes and goes.
Part of you still walks with me.
though I know your spirit flows...
To soar above the rain clouds
and meets the rainbow's ending.
Then circles over silver seas,
to Paradise, ascending.
Author notes
This is only one of many crap poems, which I excel in, though no exclamation marks to be seen.

hey I don't think this is bad, and a person who is grieving could never write bad poetry- that would just be the way they feel. It may seem exaggerated to us, butto them, that is really how it feels to them.

a long greeting card
Very good entry, thank you. It would be much worse with some exclamation points, true.

Totally banal. Well done. Applause for horror. Into the finalists. Yucch. Yucch. Yucch. Yucch. (that's enough Yucchs - Editor)
