Walk With Faith

Missing image

Striving for goodness and thoughts pure
trial and tribulations we come to endure.
We stumble along not being very sure
searching for guidance and God's door.

The path chosen may be winding or straight
deciding whats right determines our fate.
Let God fill up your heart with love so sate
throw away your doubts it's never too late.

He will welcome us with our imperfection
Look for self worth through introspection.
Walk with faith see love replace rejection
God alone leads us in the right direction.

Days are placid, serene like shifting sand
others tempestuous as we seek God's hand.
He never gives more then we can withstand
You will receive knowledge to understand.

Walk with faith, walk with the Lord beside
as your cup runs over with His love inside.
Find salvation and with the Lord you reside
live life righteously and His love will abide.

These are the very words I would give to my daughter if I could. She has gone astray, but thankfully is never too far from the Master's hand.

Reminds me of a thought I have about what is permissable. When we start that walk, there are many more things permissable...but as we mature, God has been working in our lives, and things that once were in bounds are now out. Kind of like a narrowing path that we can wander back and forth on as we progress in what would otherwise be a straight line...but can drift off of center less and less. Sorry to ramble, but your poem reminded me of the continuning process of sanctification. I think it was the line: The path chosen may be winding or straight deciding whats right determines our fate. That made me think that way. Well done. Michael.

A poem with a positive message to both look to ourselves and have faith in the Lord,if it is possible that to believe that he never gives us more than we can bear we keep that faith in ourselves and don`t despair.Love and light,Yvette

Pray for strength, faith and love...It all begins with two hands and the strength to fall on one's knees to find faith and feel the lord's love...Thanks for sharing your work but change the background so it can be easily read...

This is a wonderful write! I myself and finding my way through the path with God at my side, and this has touched me deeply. I am going to share it with my sister who is also starting church and stuff. It may seemed forced to others, but i find it extremely nice, besides, i think i always sound forced!! Great job and keep penning!!!

This is a lovely poem, it is very soothing and serene. In places I feel it's a bit forced so would like to suggest a couple of things.2nd stanza, 1st line I would change to,
The path we choose may be winding or straight.
3rd line. Let God fill your cup
4th line. Cast off your doubts
    4th stanza, 1st line.
Days are placid, serene like shifting sand
3rd line. He never gives more than we can withstand.
These are only my suggestions the poem is yours and I do like it. Val.xx
