To speak of God in rain is silver light,
Cascading crystals on the parrot red
Of flower petals shrilling to the sight.
The grass springs clean, a canticle of bright
Sheer to the soul; each raindrop a clear thread
To speak of God. In rain is silver light
From ragged hems of clouds where shreds of white
Fleck on the pewter, radiant as a bed
Of flower petals shrilling to the sight.
In this auroral pearl of dark and bright
The soul sings... Has no Book nor Prophet said
To speak of God in rain? Is silver light
Not to be spun, prayer-ladder to the height,
A surge, a leaping, high about the spread
Of flower petals shrilling to the sight?
Strong are the wings of rain, and bold for flight...
Though heart quails, one clear thought dissolves all dread:
"To speak of God in rain is silver light
Of flower petals shrilling to the sight".

Lovely poem. Wonderful word choice. I'm not sure if it's what I'm looking for yet.. but Best of luck in my contest.
Keep it up =] -
Very nice ...
I'd have dropped the "s" on "clouds", but otherwise, this is perfect as far as I can see.
