Maybe I'm Forgiven

Wake up in the morning
Go to sleep at night
I'm not denying I was wrong
But I think you were right

They say they remember
I just want to forget
Tomorrow's a burden
I don't want to deal with yet

So far I've been fine
Now I'm singing a different tune
Too late, too fast
But then it's over soon

You wake up in the morning
Cry yourself to sleep at night
I knew you were wrong
And maybe this time I was right

Forget about what I said
Take my lies and turn it around
Some things are bound to come out wrong
Getting mixed up, you're still feeling down

It's like a stormy day
And you want to go outside
In a different light
Just continue to hide

I dread the coming of the day
And I lie awake at night
Forgive me because I'm wrong
And maybe things will be alright

Author notes

Hmmmmm. This wasn't a dark poem, surprise surprise. Sorry I was tardy, it was Danny's fault.

Ahh, I liked this one. It was much easier to follow then the other I read...lol! Anyway, I really liked this part:
    "It's like a stormy day
And you want to go outside
    In a different light
    Just continue to hide"
It just reminded me of a few diff. things. Anyway, keep writing! - SNAP

I like it!!! It's the type of poem you give to someone not let every one read but I'm glad you let us all read it. It's amazing there are some rocky parts but it relates to the love and life of teens. You repeated but didn't you made it like life moving forward through good and bad but making it all even out.
