Back To The Beginning

A clear map;
Once full and helpful.

A dim lamppost;
Once bright and healthy.

A faded sign;
Once new and freshly done.

A broken mirror;
Once together and shining.

A broken-heart;
Once pumping and whole.

All good things come to an end.
Happiness is a beginning,
But sadness is the end.

It’s sadness that will end your precious life,
So when on the road to failure,
Get back on that roller coaster,
And push it right back to the peak again.

The peak will be your eternity,
And from this you will find back your beginning.

Author notes

don't really know where this came from. Haven't written in months and months so it was quite random really! Just shows there's always a light at the end of a tunnel!

    Loved it. Imaginery was great. And how you kept the whole poem together was great! Well done and write more poems!
