Through silky roots
Age rings bleeding
Ancient remains underground
Nourish with soft hands
Below sheltering branches
Hes found sleeping
Wrinkled caterpillars mask
Cocoon and emerge
Lungs breathe
finish painless
Soul smiling, rising
White-tipped edges against
Veins expelling hot liquid
...Spring will be delicious again
Since the Authors comments wont let me leave a long message, I'm leaving it here...
"The scent of slaughter, some believe, can linger in a place for years. They say it lodges in the soil and is slowly sucked through coiling roots so that in time all that grows there, from the smallest lichen to the tallest trees, bears testimony."
Page one from The Loop written by Nicholas Evans.
Author notes
*touche*
***Have you ever thought about all that have been slaughter on our soil and how nature uses them, and keeps them alive by thriving through their loss? If you haven't you should!
p.s. I'm not talking about people who have been slaughtered...if you wish to understand read the novel...because then and only then will you begin to understand the depth that this goes too...human beings are mindless morons who have no true concept of value...and what is important in this life...its not about money, oil, killing (other than to survive i.e. food), clothes, cell phones, email...you will never full understand it....its too large for that puny brain of yours...***

I like this poem, but I guess you are right. Small brain. I don't quite understand it.
The Profits of Wars is the idea for a novel which has not been going well. It is supposed to start in WWII and go to modern times. As it is, it is stuck in the mud. Invasion of Stagna 3, is a sci-fi novella which I feel came out pretty well. It has a little light erotica. It is in my lists. -
Wonderful stuff here.. in the poem which I love for its rawness and natural cruelty and your authors notes...... wonderful and life enhancing x

That's is very true my dear. Very true but sometimes people have to hear what they dont like. It's apart of life. -nods-

Thank you mama...I just think that people will probably take more offence to my after comments and disreguard what the poem, and the quote truly mean...but its ok, because its something I needed to get out of my system. Its what I really feel.
