To a moon about to be eclipsed by sorrow's shade

Let the sorrows be
a crater on your dark side,
that will eventually,
when returned to the light
reflect a huge smile
that warms all.
It was but a humongous meteor
disrupting your surface tension,
soon the scar will cast light
and shadow in equal blends
and you will resettle
into being a bright one
once more,
sharing with all.

For now just lie back
and float,
on that pool of tears,
release all control
and just survive,
struggling will only tire you
and eventually you will reach
the shores of the heavens you seek.

All moons must face darkness
and orbit  the many sorrows
cast at their feet,
they are often overshadowed
by greater strengths around them
but they reflect that beauty,
and move lovers to passion,
and send out beaming lines
of poetic joy.
I will look for you when
the clouds of
doubt have past
and you are at
your fullest once more.

...Artis

I'm stunned not only of the beauty of this poem, but with the heart and grace with which it was offered! That fact just makes this that much more beautiful.

gentle, soothing and so very tender

No truer words have been spoken, either by yourself or Artis. How blessed you are to have a friend such as he that offers words like the arms of a friend to keep you warm, and a heart upon which to lay your head cushioned with love,so that you may hear the beat that gives you respite whilst you rest your own. I too had blurred vision as I read. For the gentleness and genuine love and caring of these words are oh so true, and so heartfelt. What ever the darkness that surrounds you, I send a prayer that the light at the end of the tunnel will grow bigger with each passing day and shine more brilliantly than it did before. You see, you yourself must have a beautiful heart and soul, as you bring out the beauty in other's. As is evident by the words of comfort offered to you here.

Upon a blurred screen I struggle to focus with tear filled eyes for I have not shed a tear thus far today, that is until I seen and read your words here. Your pen, your thoughts, your senitments all so very sweet, kind, tender and thoughtful have touch the very heart of me as I walk through this darkened tunnel. Your heart is more precious than gold my dear. I am truly thankful to have in my life and call you my friend. I maybe a moon that lights the night sky as some would say, but you my dear are the star that burns brighter than even I.

    I humbly thank you....

    Blessings
