Lace

The scent of fear is fresh on his breath
as he saunters into the room
He wears no cologne
yet I smell him,
feel him,
I look up from the bar
my eyes capture him,
hold him,
for one moment
He sways and staggers
as he swings through the room

'What blood has poisoned, thee?'

The words pass my lips
as he slaps the counter

'I know not.'

he says determined
bewildered
distraught

'Dost thou believe I am to blame?'

'Who else but you, my love.'

his reply is cold
only his stare pierces my skin
blood droplets form
rings around my heart
it seeps out of each pore
my smile grows wide
his eyes glaze over
the smell of blood- my blood-
is more than he can take
His control is weak
as is my will for self preservation

'Come.'

he whispers into the air
obediently
I follow him into the night
and its darkness
forcefully,
his composure regained,
he smashes me into the wall
his body full, against mine
I know no will
nor thought of my own
His lips caress my neck
sensual kisses paint my skin
somehow
my hair has fallen
his hands are entangled,
massaging,

'Are you ready?'

he deviously slides

'What?'

my confusion is silenced
as he bites
fangs sinking
into my flesh
searing pain rages through my body
his hands fall to cradle my waist
my hands rest on his bare arms
vines creep, tattooing my skin
where my veins run
and the tattoo spills onto him
begining where my fingers rest
the ivy sears his skin
now we match
he can't leave me to be his silent victim
vengence in eternal love

Author notes

I hope the twist was enough. I didn't know where my mind was going when this started, I just let it flow. I enjoyed entering this one...
