The training of the body,
Is brutal and unkind.
Filled with pain and anguish.
It is the embracing of the physical realm.
It is just Bone and flesh and blood,
But through it we feel the world around us,
We see the Empirical world,
We touch with the senses and know it to be real.
To travel the path, is the body’s task.
To walk from step to step carrying the everlasting
Upon its mortal shoulders.
The teaching of the mind,
Is long and arduous.
To learn what has taken lifetimes to acquire.
With the mind, we know what we do and what we are made off,
The start of where we go.
To learn the way, is the minds task.
To ponder what has come before,
And what must come next.
To see the world through the blind eye.
The Path of the Soul,
Is the one true path.
With it we walk, with it we learn.
The path of the soul,
Is the hardest and most fought and thought for.
The human race has struggled from its beginning to know its end.
To travel the path,
To see the beginning
And reach the end.

Is not the training of a mind also arduous & painful? how much do you learn from your painful experiences? It is easier to say that training in itself is painful, correct?
great scheme, but I like some of your others more. Good job, though. it is a strong poem, & a great principle & writer. -

wonderful
I liked how you haad a combination of darkness but a light ray of hope in there...
"To travel the path,
To see the beginning,
And reach the end."
These three lines really caught my attention. I like the way you write and your flow. You are really a wonderful writer, and I hope you continue to write. When others write about things that the reader can relate to it's just so releaving. It's nice to know that you're not the only one who feels like that. Well, I must be going now, don't want to reamble. Take care and keep it up...
Love, Monkey -

this line stuck with me. i really lke the flow. your style here seems almost fantasy-like, and less obvioulsy poetic. very refreshing. -
