Kissing climber and little lover
Gentleman jester and persistent pest
Sweet and spoiled, perfect pets
Each enjoying to simply smother
Doting dad with lapping licks.
All animals needing to be near
When he tries to rest after work.
Author notes
This poem is, of course, about my doggies and all their wonderful personalities. It is also my first attempt at an alliterisen , a new poetic form created by my friend Risen Sun . The rules are as follows:
The syllables in this poem go as follows,
9 & 11. 8 & 10. 7 & 9.
The last line has the same number of syllables as the first line.
Title must be an alliteration
RHYMING IS OPTIONAL
It is not mandatory to start with 9. If you start with 10, the sequence will be-
10 & 12. 9 & 11. 8 & 10.
You may go ahead as well.
Then it would be-
7 & 9. 6 & 8 and so on.

I have edited the poem. Thank you!

You need a seventh line with the same number of syllables as the first line.

I like your train of thought here - animals are my favorite just rework to rules and you should do great - good luck

This has a good message but it does not follow the rules of the poem. There must be seven stanzas you have six. The first line has 9 syllables therefore the third and fifth line must have 8 syllables and 7 syllables respectively. Since your first line has 9 syllables, the second must have 11. The forth and sixth must have 10 syllables and 9 syllables respectively. The last line must have 9 syllables in it since your first line has 9. I hope this helps. It is a very difficult form to follow. I was booted out my first try. But, I just dusted myself off and tried again. This really is a lot of fun.

Hecjk -- if I had read this one before I just posted mine, I would think again about entering. This very fine, indeed. You get a big kudo from this guy.
