Walk up to the square-like hole
Look at other just beside me
Go up a step, grab the edge
I know who the winner is going to be
Hear a BEEP, dive right in
Swim underwater till I need a breath
Kick my legs, move my arms
This competition is now on
Reach the end of the pool
Turn around, pick up the pace
Swim much faster, start to sprint
This is the last stretch in this race
Make my arms reach farther than ever
Touch the end, the others got creamed
Get my blue First Place ribbon
Now I'm hungry, I want ice cream!
Author notes

Good& funny
LOL. This is at the competition. I know you won a lot but the most i ever got was 2nd and only one time. I hope Omaha if that's how you spell it has a pool you can swim in or if they have a YMCA that would be ok too. Well, this was a good poem that's funny and describes swimming very well. Though i might have been confused if i hadn't been there with you doing the same thing.
