When Angels Cry

The angels cry as we speak
For all the selfish greed
For lost souls consumed by hate
For the evil that we feed

One sheds their tears just for me
Each time I'm down and blue
Have no worries, I'm not alone
For one sheds their tears for you

There's one for Her, another for Him
Each drop, a personal offering
To cleanse the soul of mental anguish
Aide to release some suffering

So when the angels cry for us
Bringing gentle rains
Know it's from deep within
To wash away our pains

    Miss goddess! Isn't it comforting to know that through our pain, through our greed and selfishness, there are spirits praying us back to the light? what a wonderful piece this is! I love the transition from the first stanza, that kind of shows our hopelessness to continue falling short, to the end lines that hint for the possibilities of redemption! Thanks so much for sharing this with us!

    I did not find this poem dark , I found it to be somewhat inspirational in the fact that the Angles wil cry for us
    and wash away the pain.
    A nice thought in a crazy filled world

    wow, this is very different from the other entries I have read. A bit darker but the imagery is still very strong. This is a great piece.
