As I sat there in the theater chair
I looked upon my reason for being there.
Almost intermission of this lovely show
I've looked at you the whole time you know.
I didn't know that you would be singled out
A song leaving me speachless without a doubt.
Taking it all in, my breath caught in my throat
My heart skipping a beat with each passing note.
The lovely sounds of bow on string
The smooth sound of violin made my ears ring.
Listening to every single sound you make
By the end of that song, my heart you'll take.
Closing my eyes while the song goes on
Almost smelling the scent of a fresh cut lawn
Seeing the flowers before my eyes
and imagining a lovely summer sunrise
Feeling the heat upon my face
The song wrapping me in its warm embrace
Taking me to another time, another day
Making the days of summer not seem so far away
This song you play gives me the shivers
Reminding me of days of swimming in the rivers
The song slows down to a lazy afternoon
fading to a night with a clear white moon
Taking me back to days so warm and long
Totally taken in by this lovely song
Sitting here in the theater chair
Gazing upon the reason I am there
Watching you play with such effort and soul
Every note of this song slowly making me whole
As the song ends and you take your bow
I'm taken in, my heart is yours now.
Author notes
This probably isn't at all what you are looking for, it's more of a love poem, but it explains where i first heard my favorite song, which is "Summer" by Vivaldi
I hope this is ok...
