Tale of Lost Dreams

I had dreams of a dancing iguana
bouncing in her pole
with her reptilian pace.

I had dreams of a woman florist
showing only the petals
without reveling the thorns.

I had dreams of a song you sung
with the ocean as background
of our very first dream.

I had dreams of a Moon so close
to whisper back my words
and attend to my vows.

I had dreams of a distant country
in the end of crossroads,
that we both stride.

I had dreams of a singular tale,
I wrote all by myself,
as I was a bard of the past.

I had a dream of my own muse
which absence
is my inspiration.

I have dreams that are yours,
That I dream no longer
and no longer have I dreamed.

    Not dreaming anymore is sad.
You surely have caught me by surprise with the end of this poem. It started quite hopeful and I thought it would end the same way.
    It left me wondering...
