Broken Smiles

A shivering black beast finally conquered,
that internal last battle
fought in the name of discovery
for a passionate sweet breath of life.
Armor still raised
protecting a fragmented heart,
yet awkwardly softening from cautious trust.
A sublime dream becoming increasingly tangible;
feeling the secret products of a bewitching garden grove.
A raw, warm safe haven
slowly enveloping the fragile heart,
and the glistening mind
of a soulful being...
Beautifully harmonizing with an earthly tone of new found peace,
a slow reconstruction of a slipping dream.
A queenly bittersweet expression,
A bounce in the step,
A smile reflected in formerly somber eyes...
All realizations that a wounded heart is recovering.

This is very interesting. I believe it is more important to explore than it is to always know exactly where one wants to go.

springing to mind, eh? well i'd have to say that that's the most natural and pure of poems, those that seemingly flow straight from the soul. This one seems to have a very hopeful and happy feeling emanating from it. It puts a smile on my face to know that you're happy. Keep writing Cassandra, I love to read them.
