History is Gone

History is gone
Every second that passes
Is a new moment in history
Make use of the time that’s given

Time is limited
Only two things last:
People and God
Invest time in those two things

Life is about choices
Every moment is a new decision
What are you doing right now
That will impact your tomorrow?

Start the change
Be a revolutionary
Make every second count
Never know when tomorrow won’t come

Author notes

I started this with that first line/titled. I have a list in my poetry book with usernames I've come up with... incase any of my friends want to change their names. I already have some ideas done. So I saw this one that I came up with a month or two ago and ya... it inspired this poem I always love inspiring myself. Thanks for reading!

    So many times I've tried to get into this way of living. You are very correct but it is so hard to do with so many destractions. A good write. Shancy.

    This is something my pastor often says. People last... because it's only God and us that last for eternity. Meaning not your ipods, or laptops, or fancy cars... or anything like that. If you get what I mean.... So meaning when we invest in stuff... we should invest in our relationship with God and in our relationship with others... and in the salvation of others. Hope that makes sense now. Thanks for your comment.

    Cool cool. I like the poem. Tells alot.
    However, I beg to differ about the "people last."
    I think that as a kind, humanity may or may not last, and individuals don't last- only memories.
    But that's my opinion...

    Ah, an eye opener... what are you doinn in your life now that can impact me tomorrow.... *thinks very hard* I best be working on that. Anyways, I liked this, straight to the point, seemed to me that you wrote a short one so we could start impacting our lives after reading it you sly dog you! Anyways, very awesome write Tim Tim (??? do you realize I keep switching names like every time I talk to yah??? lol), I am going to start impacting my tomorrow right now!

    hm... i love the title... its like really blunt, and makes one think. the whole poem is pretty blunt actually. which is good coz it goes with da title... never run out of ppl in this life thats for sure... wat am i doin in my life right now... hm...gotta think abotu that one...
