space man

when I was young
I used to dream
of flying through space
in a space machine

With a bubble helmet
Upon my head
And tubes of food
To keep me fed

I started to feel sad
That I never did
The things I had dreamed
When I was a kid

But the more I thought
Of what I missed
The more I saw
The cosmic twist

The Earth you see
Travels through space
A bubbled ship
Full of the human race

Speeding around the sun
At 67.000 miles per hour
One mighty ball
Of terrestrial power

So my dream is realized
They’ve been given birth
I’m an Astronaut
On the good ship Mother Earth
