The clouds have gone
The sun is out.
Each day I seek
The way of the Lord.
Some days I feel so lost
Trying to find the way.
The thought crosses my mind
Drugs would be the answer.
Thinking back, they
Never solved anything before.
Everything became
Worse or destroyed.
Losing all self-respect
Takes years gaining back.
Today, I have self-respect.
Faith is the only drug
I want today,
That tomorrow will be
Bright with no clouds in sight!

In my contest.. The 3 poems.. You had were all in the top 8.. You are really a good writer.. I can relate with it.. That's probably why I like them soo much.. I am going to add you to my list.. anyway..
It seems like this one that this person is losy from finding the lord.. Thhey seem to be searching for him..
Drugs may have been the right answer at the time.. Because no where else to turn to..
The drugs made things worse for the situaton than it was before.. Somtimes drugs do that to people.. Some people go to jail.. Some don't.. Some continue but dont know where life is headed.
Today.. The confidence i back from all of the things that have occured.. The lord may be the right hting..
The clouds have let you see the bad days in life.. and The days a lot brighter than they were..

I agree with Maureen, if not for the cloudy days, could we really see the beauty in the clear ones? Excellent write and I agree that drugs are not the answer! :)

We'll always some clouds, Johnna. Personally, I don't like a totally clear sky, white puffy clouds are beautiful to me. Same way with life, without the bad days, we wouldn't appreciate the good nearly as much! Good Poem! :-) Maureen
