Killing Me

How can we love each other,
after all we've put one another through?
Why is it when I think of true love,
I can't help but think of you?
Will our struggles ever stop,
will we ever see peace?
Will we ever be able to live
a loving life of ease?
Can't you grow up for me,
can't you even try?
I'm sick of all these stressful talks,
I'm sick of having to cry!
It's like  you don't even care
that you're messing up your life.
You can't even care for yourself,
how would you care for a wife?
I don't know what to do,
what will make you see?
You're not just hurting yourself,
you're also killing me!

Author notes

I'm lost on what to do. Eugene and I are almost through, I can feel it. But I love him. I just can't keep dating him if he won't grow up and act like an adult instead of a 16 year-old!

There is power, pain and frustration in this write. If he can't make the effort then you should let him go. If he loves you enough and values himself, he will sort himself out and return a better person. If he doesn't return, then he isn't the one for you Don't settle for second best, everyone deserves an equal I hope you're well, it's been a while.
