Purest sound ever to be heard
Sweetest sound to hit my ears
More beautiful than any melody
Better than the songs which birds sing
Growing, growing inside my head
Loosing all sense of time in an instant
Deep breath, inhaling in and out
Feeling alive, feeling the sound
Colors splashed across the morning sky
Beautiful and gorgeous beyond compare
At the edge of the universe just listening
Some hear silence, but I hear the sound it makes
Do you hear it? Are you listening?
Just open your eyes; then you can hear
Hear the sun talking to you as it arises
Arises in the horizon filling the void with colors
Take the time out of your day to just stop and listen....
Sweetest sound to hit my ears
More beautiful than any melody
Better than the songs which birds sing
Growing, growing inside my head
Loosing all sense of time in an instant
Deep breath, inhaling in and out
Feeling alive, feeling the sound
Colors splashed across the morning sky
Beautiful and gorgeous beyond compare
At the edge of the universe just listening
Some hear silence, but I hear the sound it makes
Do you hear it? Are you listening?
Just open your eyes; then you can hear
Hear the sun talking to you as it arises
Arises in the horizon filling the void with colors
Take the time out of your day to just stop and listen....

Wow, I like it. I love poems that have to do with nature. And yeah, most people don't appreciate the beauty of it.

Provoking
Your poem certainly makes one want to listen to the Sunrise. I enjoyed this very much -
exquisite
Tim~
the imagery and the context of this poem is exquisite. great job on writing this poem. Through this poem, I am able to see it clearly. I remember one of the last times that I took the time to watch and focus on the sunrise or set was in September when I was up in the mountains for the weekend or when I was in Mexico for Thanksgiving. Great job, and keep up the great work. God Bless!

That is a beautiful picture and this is a beautiful poem. I haven't seen a sun rise in ages and you just reminded me of what is was like. You are right I need to stop and listen. I love sunrises and sunsets and I haven't taken the time recently to enjoy one of God's greatest gifts to us. I always appreciate a rainbow when I see it because they are so rare but I forget to appreciate the everyday beautiful things God has provided. Thanks for making me think! Take care Tim and God bless, ~Angel~

Incredible
This picture is a stunning example of God's art. I love it. I love the line in which you spoke:"Just open your eyes; then you can hear." I grew up near the beach and lots of ocean water. It was beautiful. I love your poem. Shancy. -
I like this, very much..but I don't think you actually caught the sound of the sunrise. You just talked about how it has a sound, very good other than that..loved how you described the sunrise.

Oh, how much I agree with this...I wrote someting once on listening to the sunrise....there is so much in our senses that allow us to hear touch taste smell and see all through our hearts...just wonderful. Thank you for entering.

Beautiful
(smiles) Hmm, and WHO asked you how the sunrise sounded?
Excellent work Tim, made me sigh in happiness and smile and close my eyes, trying to picture the sunrise in the morning, to hear what you can hear. I will tell you one thing, I intend on listening more.
Great write, I love it.
*God Bless*

I know of a story, where a man, deaf from birth, had a chance to gain his hearing through a medical procedure. He exclaimed he was afraid, because he thought color had sound to it, and was afraid of how loud the sun would be.
A very majestic piece. Worthy of the drama that the Lord's creation brings. I am often struck by such scenes that photography fails to do justice for.
My favorite lines:
"Growing, growing inside my head
Loosing all sense of time in an instant
Deep breath, inhaling in and out
Feeling alive, feeling the sound"
Awesome job, Tim! -
