Welcome home my Children

Missing image
I feel that our Lord is not a vengeful God.
He forgives everyone, even evil souls.
They are all his children no matter what!
The evil souls do go to heaven, same as us
but not to the beautiful place we are sent to.
They are banished to a lower realm to atone
for the sins they committed here on earth;
to remain at times for centuries or millennia.
If they can prove they’ve changed their ways
God MAY then move them to a higher level.
It could take eons before they change
enough to be reborn and learn in the next life
the lessons of being a better, caring person.

There is no Devil or hell, only the evil of man
Hell is our life on earth that we live every day.
We all have a piece of Devil in us
but most never give in to it
or allow it to control them.
I, myself, prefer to live on the bright side of life,
to work with the higher realm of Angels.

Dear Joyce, this poem was written for a contest where I had to write about my beliefs about crossing over, Like you say where I agree, there is no Devil.
Thank you for reading my poem. I really appreciate it.

i think i'll stand next to you.
for i am stronger than any evil, ever known
i am God's child, he has my back...
i also believe there's no such place as hell.
    not even here on earth.
hell is where ever you believe it is, abd i believe it's NOT.
    great job...
very glad i read your write.
    i enjoyed.

Thanks for sharing your insight here. The catholic in me agrees with some of it, questions other parts of it, but it's not my call to make. I know it's a free verse, but reads more like an oration or prose, than a poem. But I think I like your style.

    This is a beautifully written piece . . . wonderful imagery . . . blind faith. Unfortuantely, despite being brought up in a catholic family . . . my grandfather almost became a priest . . . it's not my cup of tea . . . from an agnostic's pt of view . . . well . . . I won't get into that. This was well written . . . (that was from the poet inside me) . . . keep penning . . . and please . . . keep sharing!

I too believe life is hell on earth but for many different reasons. This is very interesting and seems very sincere. It gave me much food for thought. It is very well written and easy to read. Good job.

You wrote a beautiful piece. Though I disagree with it, for the bible says just the opposite....I still think you did a great job writing it.
    Best wishes in the contest.
