happiness??

smiles hidden in pain
broken homes
broken families
broken heart
friends come and go
nobody is forever
nobody cares
they say they do
but how do you know
they are'nt just trying
to sleep with you
how do you decifer
the difference between real and fake
it seems to be
such a fine line,
is there really one?
doesn't it all just blend together
nobody is really truly happy
what is happiness?
a bowl of weed,
a shot of vodka
a keg of beer
a kiss
a hug
it's all a process
of trying
and failing
and trying again
to find yourself
amongst the shattered shards
of life

This poem is very powerful. I can definitly relate to the feeling of not knowing if someone's out there, to save you. Its descriptive, and although people don't lie to me to sleep with me, they still lie...
Keep up the good work, you deserve someone to trust.

Wow this was really powerful. We can never say what happiness is. Everyone lies and we just belive there lies in order to be happy. I love the end, when you try to piece your life together you try other things along the way. And you look at things that make you happy for a while. Everyone will soon find happiness and if not we have to go looking for it.

Very powerful and descriptive write that clearly reflects today's society. Unfortunately, it's not a good society, but you did a wonderful job of conveying it. Great job! Keep up the amazing work!

Unfortunatly, we live in a society, where, that IS happiness. Sadly enough, it's not a correct way to be happy. Life is all trial and error but the drugs and sex is promoted in our society. But, there are limits to that, I guess. Nice write.
