Lionheart's Art

From the palette and artist brush,
images of life's many facets rush.
From experience of emotive paler,
the artist labors hour upon hour.

Things inspire the artistic bent,
visualization must have it's purest vent.
The soul of an artistic inclined being,
needs a space to express it's meaning.

For this spirit to evolve over a life time,
it must have freedom to express the divine.
It's discipline must come from within,
cannot be forced to reign it in.

Who would want to restrict colored hues in life,
remove provoked thoughts and deliver strife?
Life's palette is mixed and mingled real art.
presents such beauty to our minds and hearts.

But this talent is bequeathed in gift to a precious few,
for our enjoyed appreciation, mindful deliberation too.
Simmering swirls of the brush stroke to canvass,
mimics life's expressed ups and downs dances.

Be it chiseled,painted,scrolled,acted,played or danced,
art enriches our spirit and expresses romance.
If colored hues were left to black and whites,
there would be no reason to this course life.

Be and live free my artistic valued friend,
you have my support to the bitter end.

A VERY BEAUTIFUL AND TOUCHING POEM

This is deeply touching my dear friend. I know that I love very much to see the beauty in a painting or a picture and know that I am seeing what the artist also finds beautiful to them.

in reading this poem I was not only sensing art as the art of painting, as well as the other arts outlined in your poem, but the art of poetry itself. I think if you somehow eluded to yourself as a writer, a poet, within this poem and that translating to the other art forms as well, it would only be all the more powerful a statement for "art."

I very much liked the read and the theme of this poem...it's a great poem paying tribute to all "artists," and especially the one you are dedicating this poem.
