[Shatterglass]

[Shatterglass] Envy
Beyond the looking glass
In the land where blood
Is an accoutrement to Beauty
And Pain is another word for Pleasure
Beyond the looking glass
Where no normal person
Could ever hope to survive
She lives quite contently
On an island of cloud
In a sea of sky.
You think she’d be beautiful.
You’d never be more mistaken.

Author notes

[Shatterglass] Envy
lives so far beyond the looking glass
that only hope could bring her back.
But hope is something
so far removed
that she wouldn't know it if it came.

    Chilling

I like the briefness of it, and I keep wanting to read it again and again, like I missed something. Made me want to read more. Only suggestion is to maybe remove one of the periods from the last three lines, unless you think that would mess something up. Beautiful either way
