Plain of Chabukabad near Angora which Roman Turks choose
had been made waterless, damaged and out of use
upto five thousand fell of thirst of the one twenty of Bayazid
five times big was the opponent with Taimur of their own breed
many Turks left the Sultan ran away and changed their sides
Janissaries, Lazarevich and the faithful arranged their tides
Officers advised flight as the day was lost enemy was large
with serbs on the left Janissaries in centre he ordered the charge
In a half moon shape with outcries thirsty men made an attack
a prince on forty thousand cavalry as told waited to fight back
Taimur seeing all fell alongwith the prince sent another squadron
after that the Seljuk squadron and brother against brother squadron
then Taimur followed them with his own troops on to the fight
wretched soldiers repulsed attacks from left and right upto the night
at nightfall in leaving the field Sultan was pursued with a thrill
doing so fell down with horse and was got as the fate was ill.
