Bitter Cold and Endless Dark

Bitter cold, endless dark
A world of war and pain
The flame of joy and piece
Flickering, fading away

A world drowning in blood and tears
Alone in comfort and warmth
Together in pain and fear,
Flame fading to eternal darkness

Broken walls, cracked, crumbling
All lost in endless fear
The light is of pain and suffering
The darkness is of security

Bitter cold, endless dark
A world of war and pain
The flame of joy and peace
Is flickering, fading away…

Author notes

I suppose I’m back from the dead, really…with more issues and new obsessions.  I debated putting this one up for a while, so I guess I’m finally giving into that urge, huh?  Induced by, perhaps, far too much HIM and a conversation with a particularly ignorant boy while in American Government class.  Ha, look at me…back in school. *gag*

How is that not a good thing? HIM is a lovely thing. I'm infatuated with the keyboarder. O.o' *snort* I've...not been able to cough up a poem for months, so this is kinda nice.
