You stare at the television
Do you hear the words I speak.
I am crying right next to you,
Do you not hear me weep.
I am telling you,
Our marriage if falling apart,
I am trying to grab your attention,
The television is my competition.
The intimacy, has all gone,
I live in this home, alone,
Yet there is a stranger,
A stranger sleeping in my bed.
You stare at the television,
You never hear me speak,
You can't even hear my weep,
I need you, I cry, but you stare the other way.
What is so important,
Will the Television cook your meals,
who does the laundry,
I do, I do, wait,
Arent' those the words,
The words we used to seal our vows.
This marriage,
Its a joke.
In sickness and health,
I take care of me,
I take care of you,
I take care of the kids.
For richer or poorer,
well that I could go on forever about.
We just get poorer and poorer,
and I don't just mean in money.
To death do us part,
Well honey,
my soul is empty the marriage
it feels dead, so does this mean its over.
I am taking, but you just
keep on staring,
The television.....
And I was worried about another woman.....

Wow! .....Wait...I know this life! It was mine not too long ago. This is a great piece only thing I see that I'd change is in the last verse, first line. Instead of taking I'd put talking. But that's probably what you meant anyways. Sounds better to me.
