Baby boy
You are so small and precious
here's your hand
there's your toes
they are oh so small and smooth.
Grab my hand
Little boy
squeeze my finger in yours
Smile at me

Smile and light up the room.

in my arms

In my lap
take your nap
Stare your eyes up at me.
I Feel your breath
on my cheek
as you fall into dreamland.
Sitting there
not a sound
I put your cheek next to mine.
I cry a tear
from the joy
of loving someone so tiny
that I made
as a part of me
and now
I can see him
hold him
and never let him go.
Christmas gifts
near a tree
with a new ornament.
Simple words
on a ball
"Baby's first Christmas"
Gleaming in the Christmas lights
shining bright.
