you can't see me when I'm in front of you

instead, all you see is plastic
i gave you plenty of clues to find me
but no, you ignored them all
almost like you knew they were there
but chose to not take them at all
now i get it. you do know I'm there
you can see me, hear me, feel me
this whole time, you knew this
so, why didn't you tell me?
you wanted what you wanted
you got what you got
an original is covered by plastic
this lost belongs to you
instead of having someone special
unique compared to others
you just bought a copy
a cheap one, i might add too
in your eyes, I'm a rare treasure
