Deep sapphire eyes full of innocence and hope,
Blinking tenderly between intrigued stares,
Vibrant shapes sway with lullaby chimes,
Yellow stars, blue cars, red teddy bears.
Tiring eyelids stirred by a familiar touch,
Fatherly embrace softened by love and joy,
Pounding beat reminds of early days,
Welcome to the world angelic, baby boy.

How precious this write is, so much emotion and tenderness packed into so few lines. I really enjoyed the sensory images you provided and your use of adjectives.

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you liked it. I'm not sure if I'll write another just yet. We'll have to see how I feel before the contest ends...
