Bush Wren - haiku

Missing image
a wren lands softly

behind a big bush it hides

protected from prey

Author notes

Only the Lord knows what we have been protected from these past five years. I pray that our great country continues to be protected from the schemes of evil men. I pray God's hand on the leaders of our nation.

    Lovely haiku. Very creative use of words. It is all in God's hands. May he guide our president to make the right decisions. Blessings ~ Sue

    Exquisite, Eloquent, Truth

    You know, precious Joanne, God instructs us to stand behind our leaders and to pray for them, for He sets them up and takes them down; each fulfilling God's directions, despite what we think we see in our leaders: they are there for our "learning" benefit, both good and bad.

    This haiku is magnificent, both in metaphor representing the duty of a national leader and the reality of nature. Exquisite, pure eloquence, and surely a gold winner!

    Lots of love and hugs, B♥n

    I like this haiku jut for it's haiku qualities, and nothing that has anything to do with the contest subject, even though it seems to fit in there really well too. Quite ingenious.

    Nice, simple yet elegant. The picture helps bring in the mood and adds to the visual of course but mindset of the poem. Amazing how you used the word bush, ive had a difficult time with that word once in a while.

    Nice, simple hiaku. It fits beautifully with the picture. I also think it is interesting how you related it to the political situation.
