I’m praying for you in your fight.
Born before the time was set
I haven’t even held you yet.
Tiny little ray of hope
God give us strength that we may cope.
Everyday we hold our breath
and call you from the arms of death.
Tiny little baby boy
We awaited you with so much joy.
But you, came into this world too soon
So we wish and dream from moon to moon.
Tiny little angel there
Listen to our heartfelt prayer
Keep our baby safe and strong
here on earth to sing life’s song.
Tiny little ray of light
we have passed another night.
Seeking balance on these sands
As I leave you in God’s hands.
Tiny little baby son
Your life has only just begun.
We’re urging you to thrive and grow
Another miracle, I know.
Tiny little radiance
laying there without defense
Know that near or far apart
I hold you always in my heart.

Author notes
It must me the hardest thing to leave a newborn alone in the hospital, especially one who was born so very premature that you know it will be months before there is any hope of taking him home. I watched my Aunt and Uncle as they waited and prayed over their tiny son. It was heartbreaking for them. I'd never seen such a tiny baby before. He weighed less then Ryan. I don't know why some babies that small make it and others don't, but I pray that this one will. I can't even imagine how hard it must be for your family and I'm praying that God will hold all of you close to his heart. Patti

beautiful
This one really hits home for me...My daughter was 3 months early and only weighed 2.4 lbs. She spent 93 days in the NICU but now she is a healthy happy 7 year old running around. Its so hard to be helpless and have to watch your baby fight to simply live. So many ups and downs...the drs always said its always one step forward two steps back in the ordeal. Anyways, i can relate and thought this was simply beautiful... -
my first son was 5 weeks prem and my second 10 weeks premature. this just moved me so much and bought a lump to my throat but thankyou so much for this it is beautifully wrote.xxx
