baby's finally here (gold trophy)

Missing image
baby’s finally here

tiny little fingers, pink button nose
puckered rosy lips, stubby little toes
soft fuzzy hair, not ready yet for bows

fingers curling around mine
nose crinkles as it shines
lips pucker as you doze
toes stretch and then relax
soft hair goes its own way
as you lie in sweet repose

from you we dare not take our eyes
for fear you’ll disappear from view
we’ll keep holding you forever
this miracle that is you

tiny little fingers, pink button nose
puckered rosy lips, stubby little toes
soft fuzzy hair, not ready yet for bows

I love this poem. It reminds me of my little cousins. When they were born it was just like that, never daring to even turn around.
Not long before this baby comes looking for the bank of mum and dad either

This is beautiful. It reminds me of when my children were new-borns. They are so fragile, pure and awesome. It's easy to forget these moments when they learn to talk, and talk back. Thank you for the memories.

This is absolutely adorable. I never realized why I would never take my eyes off my four babies. Now I know. LOL. Wonderful job. Shancy.

It's a beautiful baby...most are sort of ugly looking, lol. I love the rhytmic quality to the poem, makes it very fun to read. It's very sweet, very well written. That baby has tons of hair, I think it's ready for a bow...a nice big red one.

Oh Baby! hahaha I am a suker for those little ones and this write captured the essence of those moments! My little brother who is ten is always asking me when I'll have a baby and at 22 I'm asking myself the same question! I'm thusly issuing an APB for a loving fella who wants a wife...
