His voice makes the angels shutter,
While His touch caresses the weak.
His footsteps are those of thunder,
And His gaze is oh so meek.
He spoke simple words,
And creation came into being.
He performed many miracles,
Made the blind into the seeing.
He turned water into wine,
And stones into bread.
This man was nailed to the cross,
With a crown of thorns upon His head.
He hung on that tree until His dying breath,
And with a scream His spirit fled.
My Savior Jesus Christ the Son of God,
Would hang there until dead.
But this isn’t the end of the story,
For now in heaven He waits.
He waits for His second coming,
When His ransomed are brought to heaven’s gate.

A wonderful and sweet write...
A wonderful and sweet write; your love and appreciation of Christ flows from this piece; great job. Perhaps you would enjoy my poems "Eternity" and "Spiritual Irony" which touch upon paralleling themes. --Joe -
This is simple yet so profound. You made me cry, as I often do with such poignant descriptions of our Savior's love and sacrifice for us.

He is there. You just have to keep looking and I could help you if you want.

This is very beautiful. It's nice to see such reverence, but I can't really find Jesus. He makes no sense to me.
