Magic in a Rose

A rose lost a petal
As another day dawned
He looked in the mirror
And loved not what he found.
For how could a beauty
Love such a beast/
It was as false to think
The sun rises in the east.

A rose lost a petal
As a girl lost her hope
She'd given up her freedom;
Tied it all up with a rope.
For how could she let him
Stay locked in a cell?
That would be as terrible
As sending him to hell.

A rose lost a petal
As two fell in love
Now simply a stem
But powerful like love.

A rose lost a petal
As an eye lost a tear.
Together they blended
To create something dear.
Together forever,
A Bell and a Prince.
A fairytale ending;
See? Magic does exist.
