Mommy, please tell me why...

Mommy, please tell me why
milk always is white,
who made a day
and who made a night?

How light come out
from the bubble of glass,
why water is clear
and green is grass?

Who made a chocolate
and why cookies are sweet,
why cherries are red,
why I must brush my teeth?

Why daddy is daddy and who made a bus,
why birds are flying,
why we do not have a puss?

Why candies do not last
Why granny need a glass,
why I am a boy and sister is lass?

Oh my sweet baby, I need a break...

I love you mommy, but mommy,
I have some news for you,
I wet my pants...

Oh, if that was all...
I love you too.

    Ha ha !!!!!
Ah yes...the relentless "why's"... & their constant curiosity.
Though it was amazing, some of the things they would come out with.
A wonderful write...brings back many memories.
    Very clever, well done.

Thank you my dear friend. There is no need for any apologies. It is not easy to comment all poetry we read here. From time to time I am doing the same.

Thank you Dawn. Yes, it was a nice time but I never had enough time to answer all my son questions. He was always so curious. We often read books to find out all secret of this world.

    Great Job

This sounds familiar, sounds like any child under 10 years old, the "why's" I had to laugh this is too cute! As usual Sonja, wonderful job. Brings back those memories!
