The chills crawling up your spine
As you wait ever so patiently in line
Getting onto the dreaded ride
All feelings but fear quickly subside
Quickly turning the board to face the slope
Wondering how on this earth you can push feelings aside and cope
As the seat hits your bottom and you begin to rise
The feelings of fright begin their slow demise
Slowly ascending the large mass of snow
Quickly excited for Mountain, weather high or low
As the end of the lift comes to a close
As fear comes once again, You are frightened of getting off and are froze
Eventually getting off with no injuries
The snow begins, Starts off as large amounts, and descends to flurries
You and your friend quickly strap in you boot
Snowboarding down this mountain, any mountain, is better than any amount of loot.

amazingly brilliant
haha, this was a great write! i loved it! through the whole thing is a sense of giddiness and dread, and the reader is trying to guess what is going on.
i love the descriptions in this poem, and how they draw you in to be amazed. i love the line :
Getting onto the dreaded ride
All feelings but fear quickly subside
it is just brilliant! the idea of being left with nothing inside you but fear is a powerful image. it's wonderful.
great job, great write, and thanks for the read!

P.S. i almost forgot; thank you soooo much for reading my story so far! i really appreciate it! (im kinda afraid to show it to my parents, though. especially my mom. my mom and i don't exactly get along, and we have similar fights that are in the story. she will probably think that i am mirroring the character after her (which i kind of am!
))
