Summer Nights

In summer after dark
When stars and moon shine bright
And there is not one cloud,
The peace I won't disturb,
For I am never loud.

In summer after dark
With everyone asleep,
A silent form sneaks out
To watch celestial orbs
In their nocturnal route.

In summer after dark
Where no one else can see,
I watch the fireflies.
Not another witness,
It's only for my eyes.

In summer after dark
When Moon has gone to rest,
The gloom is pierced by light.
I must go back inside,
Await another night.

Author notes

I think I may have had some problems with the meter of this form.  If anyone notices anything, let me know.  Thanks!!

This was a great Monchielle, Chicken-Milk! Only thing I reacted to was the capitalization of the first letter in each line, as if it was written in Word. You could also add a little about the form in your Author's Comment, and it would be perfect. I love the rhymes, and the rythm was good, the flow was fine, and the imagery great! You have my applause, and I wish you best of luck in the contest! Jim
