The Deathwalker

Row on Row, my patience grating,
Row on Row, for I was waiting
By walking by the silent dead
Where they rest and lie there head.

                      Nevertheless, they will rise
                       For man's ultimate demise
The women will scream, the men will cry
But one by one, they all will die.

In the night my thoughts go down
                       Down six feet undrground
I ponder and wonder why the dead
Why they sleep in their soft bed.

                        How they wait eternally
                       Remains a mystery unto me
They are patient, my silent kin
While I am restless, and walk with men.
